Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and ScoreIQ governing your use of the ScoreIQ mobile app and related backend services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

ScoreIQ is a free college football score-prediction game played within private leagues you create or join. Members predict the final score of upcoming games for a team the league tracks; points are calculated automatically from real game results.

• You must be at least 13 years old to create a ScoreIQ account.
• You're responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account and for keeping your password confidential.
• You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us right away at support@scoreiq.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
• One account per person. Accounts are personal and may not be sold, transferred, or shared.

When using ScoreIQ, you agree not to:

• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users, including league members.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another account, league, or the backend systems that run the Service.
• Use automated tools to create accounts, submit picks, or otherwise interact with the Service in a way a human user could not.
• Use the Service for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms, including operating real-money wagering on top of it.

We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these rules.

• Anyone can create a league and invite others using an invite code; league creators and admins can manage membership and league settings.
• Picks lock 30 minutes before a game's kickoff and cannot be changed after that point. This rule applies equally to every member of every league.
• If a league owner deletes their account, ownership automatically passes to another active member; if no other members remain, the league is closed. See the Privacy Policy for details.
• We may correct rankings or points in the event of a data error (for example, a corrected final score from our data source).

Game schedules, scores, and results are sourced from CollegeFootballData, a third-party public data provider. We don't control this data and can't guarantee it's always complete, current, or error-free. Rankings and scoring are calculated based on the data available to us at the time.

The ScoreIQ name, logo, and app are owned by ScoreIQ. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding beyond what's needed to use the Service normally. Team names and logos referenced in the Service belong to their respective schools and conferences; ScoreIQ is not affiliated with or endorsed by any college, university, or athletic conference.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ScoreIQ won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Because ScoreIQ is a free service with no monetary stakes, our total liability to you for any claim arising from the Service is limited to fifty US dollars ($50).

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for accounts that violate these Terms or where we reasonably believe it's necessary to protect the Service or other users.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where required, notify you in the app before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, to the extent applicable to your use of the Service.
